Parenting in an authentic and compassionate way means connecting to and honouring our inner child first. This is not always as simple as it sounds because many of us have internalised traumatic experiences and trivialised their magnitude as a coping mechanism. When faced with being a parent, we do the best we can with the tools and knowledge we’ve gleamed but often we become frustrated as our parenting turns into a struggle to turn our children and ourselves into model citizens.
I’m here to help you relax and figure out what you’re doing right. Once you can start to enjoy your parenthood and honour the unique differences in your family dynamics, parenting get’s a whole lot easier.
Speaking for myself, I know I want my children to grow up valuing their talents and those of others. I want them to face their fears with courage and know how to collaborate with others in order to overcome any set backs. I want them to be optimistic leaders who know when to lead and when to follow.
I serve this end in my coaching by unearthing the family’s hidden talents and identifying complementary skills to learn from one another, which promotes connection and cooperation.
Inner Peace & Leadership for Schools
I see a future where sustainability permeates not only the way we farm but the way we educate and lead children.
It is a great pleasure to be a volunteer with the Association of Inner Peace, recognised and supported by the United Nations, where the vision of leadership for the future comes from a place of sustainability and inner peace.
This is a blossoming initiative sparking peace in schools worldwide Belgium, Morocco, Beirut, Colombia, Ghana, Egypt and many more.
The Future & Technology
I deliver workshops on Inner Leadership and and speak about necessity to integrate technology in our parenting, schools and society at large. I’ve been on several panels to discuss integrating parenting and building a career, in the context of leveraging relationships and resources in the technology industry.
As an Empowerment Leader for EBW2020, I’m also aware of the tremendous potential technology can have for women to elevate leadership and create positive social impact.
Ingrid Vanderveldt is the founder of EBW, is a huge role model and mentor since her partnership with DELL to leverage women and technology.
I remember the Brussels TEDx entitled “A Brave New World” where the advancements of technology were highlighted. Francoise Chombar brought home just how imperative it is for women and girls to lead in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).
Financial & Emotional Literacy
When I relate my own story of financial illiteracy, I always surprise myself at just how determined and ignorant I am about so many things, simply because I didn’t grow up with access to positive family stories and examples.
Thanks to Ingrid Vanderveldt’s audacious organisation EBW2020 (Empowering a Billion Women by 2020), my road to empowerment is augmented by a phenomenal tribe, high-end resources and on-going training.
I now help other women tackle the blocks preventing them from transcending barriers. I identify which self-sabotage patterns need to be disrupted to earn exponentially and create a positive impact in their own lives and their communities.
