Working Together
Moderating Meaningful Conversations
I moderate panels, conferences, community dialogues and public conversations concerned with subjects that require care, depth and cultural awareness.
I work with organisers and contributors to understand the purpose of the gathering, develop questions that open rather than narrow the conversation, and create a structure in which different voices can contribute meaningfully. During the event, I listen for connections, tensions and emerging possibilities while remaining attentive to the people in the room.
This may be particularly valuable for conversations about identity, belonging, racism, wellbeing, education, social change and collective responsibility.
Suitable for: conferences, panel discussions, community gatherings, research events and organisational dialogues.
Facilitating Reflective Practice
I design and facilitate participatory sessions for managers, educators, practitioners and teams who want to look more closely at how people experience learning and working together.
Through guided dialogue, embodied noticing, practical inquiry and collective reflection, participants explore what supports contribution—and what may be producing silence, disconnection, defensiveness or withdrawal.
Sessions may focus on belonging, communication, cultural awareness, power, participation, relational leadership and repair after difficult encounters. Each session is shaped around the people, responsibilities and working realities of the organisation.
Suitable for: management teams, educators, programme leaders, student-support teams, care professionals and organisations working across difference.
Cultural Wellbeing Consultation
I offer an attentive external perspective to organisations developing programmes, partnerships, events or working practices concerned with people, culture and participation.
Consultation may include listening to stakeholders, reviewing plans or materials, noticing cultural and relational dynamics, helping a team interpret what is emerging, and identifying questions that require further attention.
My role is to make visible the connections between an organisation’s intentions and people’s lived experience of its work. This can be especially useful when a project involves multiple communities, sensitive subject matter or questions of representation, inclusion, trust and responsibility.
Suitable for: educational initiatives, community programmes, research and participation projects, organisational development, event design and cross-cultural collaboration.
Beginning a Conversation
These offerings can be commissioned separately or combined. A moderated gathering might lead into a facilitated learning session; consultation might help establish what kind of conversation or intervention is needed.
The starting point is a conversation about the people involved, the context you are working within and what you hope the work will make possible.
